FCPS Trainee

Job Summary:

The FCPS Trainee is a medical professional undertaking advanced training in a specialized field of medicine, leading to the award of the Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS). The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in clinical practice, a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

– Participate in clinical rotations and training programs to develop advanced skills and knowledge in their chosen specialty
– Provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of consultants and senior registrars
– Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records
– Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care decisions
– Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements
– Participate in teaching and mentoring junior medical staff and students

Requirements:

– MBBS or equivalent medical degree
– Completion of internship and registration with the medical council
– Strong foundation in clinical practice and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Desirable:

– Experience in a teaching hospital or academic institution
– Research experience and publications in peer-reviewed journals
– Experience in leadership and management roles
– Familiarity with quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
