Graphics Design Faculty
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Graphics Design Faculty to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of graphics design, developing curriculum, and providing instruction in various aspects of design, including visual communication, graphic design principles, and digital design tools.
Key Responsibilities:
– Teach and mentor students in graphics design courses, including lectures, critiques, and one-on-one instruction.
– Develop and implement curriculum for graphics design courses, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
– Provide instruction in various aspects of design, including:
– Visual communication and graphic design principles.
– Digital design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
– Design software and technologies.
– Guide students in the development of their design portfolios and projects.
– Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
– Participate in curriculum development and departmental meetings.
– Stay current with industry developments and trends in graphics design.
Requirements:
– Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field.
– 2+ years of teaching experience or equivalent industry experience.
– Strong knowledge of graphic design principles, visual communication, and digital design tools.
– Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other design software.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Ph.D. in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field.
– Experience with curriculum development and program assessment.
– Familiarity with online learning platforms and course management systems.
– Industry certifications, such as Adobe Certified Expert (ACE).
