Head of Education
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as our Head of Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of educational programs, policies, and strategies that align with our institution’s mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
– Develop and implement a comprehensive education strategy that aligns with the institution’s mission and goals.
– Provide visionary leadership and direction to the education team, ensuring that educational programs and services are of high quality and meet the needs of students and stakeholders.
– Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the education team.
Education Program Development:
– Oversee the development and implementation of new educational programs, including degree programs, certificates, and professional development courses.
– Ensure that educational programs are aligned with industry needs and trends, and that they meet the requirements of accrediting agencies.
– Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement curriculum changes and updates.
Faculty Management:
– Supervise and evaluate faculty members, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to support their growth and success.
– Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion among faculty and staff.
Student Success:
– Oversee the development and implementation of student success initiatives, including advising, tutoring, and support services.
– Ensure that students have access to high-quality educational resources and support services, and that they are well-prepared for success in their chosen fields.
Assessment and Accreditation:
– Oversee the development and implementation of assessment and evaluation processes to measure the effectiveness of educational programs.
– Ensure that educational programs meet the requirements of accrediting agencies, and that the institution maintains accreditation.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
– Develop and manage the education budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
– Ensure that educational programs are financially sustainable, and that they generate revenue to support the institution’s mission and goals.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
– Master’s or Ph.D. in Education or a related field.
– Minimum 5-7 years of experience in educational leadership, including experience as a department chair, dean, or vice president.
– Proven track record of success in leading educational programs and services.
Skills:
– Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to think strategically and make data-informed decisions.
– Experience with budget management and financial planning.
Knowledge:
– Strong knowledge of educational theory, practice, and policy.
– Understanding of accreditation processes and requirements.
– Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
