Head of Research
Job Summary:
The Head of Research is responsible for leading and overseeing all research activities within the organization. This role provides strategic direction, ensures research excellence, fosters innovation, and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration. The Head of Research ensures that projects align with institutional goals and meet the highest ethical and academic standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the organization’s research strategy in alignment with institutional goals.

Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of research projects and programs.

Lead the research team, providing mentorship, performance management, and professional development.

Identify funding opportunities and drive successful grant applications and external partnerships.

Ensure compliance with research ethics, regulations, and quality standards.

Promote a culture of innovation, integrity, and collaboration across research initiatives.

Represent the organization at academic and industry conferences, building visibility and partnerships.

Produce and publish high-quality research outputs and encourage team contributions to scholarly publications.
Qualifications:

PhD or equivalent research degree in a relevant field.

Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in research, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of published research, successful grants, and project management.

Deep understanding of research methodologies, ethics, and governance.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
