Lecturer
Job Summary:
The Lecturer in Education will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in education, conducting research, and contributing to the academic life of the department. The position requires expertise in educational theory, practice, and research, as well as the ability to support students in their academic and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:
- Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and tutorials across undergraduate and postgraduate courses in education.
- Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, reading lists, and assignments.
- Use diverse teaching methods, such as blended learning, lectures, group work, and individual assessments.
- Support students’ learning through academic advice and guidance, both in and outside the classroom.

Research:
- Conduct original research in education and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
- Publish research findings in academic journals, books, and conferences.
- Secure research funding through grants, fellowships, and collaborations.
- Supervise postgraduate students and assist in their research projects.

Administrative Duties:
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees, contributing to the development and management of academic programs.
- Provide academic leadership in curriculum development and course design.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including schools, educational institutions, and policymakers.

Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest trends, research, and practices in education.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities.
- Attend and present at educational conferences, workshops, and seminars.

Student Support:
- Offer academic and pastoral support to students.
- Provide feedback on assessments and guide students toward academic success.
- Mentor and encourage students in research and other educational pursuits.
Key Requirements:

Education and Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Education or a closely related field (or working towards one).
- Relevant teaching qualification or equivalent professional experience in education.

Experience:
- Experience teaching in higher education, ideally in education or related disciplines.
- A track record of research, publications, or projects in the field of education.
- Experience supervising postgraduate students (desirable).
