Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:
-
Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials to students.

Prepare and design course materials, such as syllabi, reading lists, and assignments.

Assess and grade students’ work, provide constructive feedback, and monitor academic progress.

Encourage active student participation and engagement in learning.

Conduct office hours and provide academic support to students.

Research:
-
Conduct original research in a specific field of expertise.
-
Publish research findings in academic journals, conferences, or books.
-
Apply for research grants and collaborate with colleagues or external organizations on research projects.

Supervise undergraduate or postgraduate students’ research projects.

Academic Administration:

Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and institutional committees.

Assist in the development of new academic programs and courses.

Maintain accurate student records and academic reports.

Ensure compliance with academic standards and regulations.

Mentoring and Academic Support:

Advise students on academic matters, including career advice, research projects, and personal development.

Provide mentorship to students pursuing advanced studies (master’s, Ph.D.).

Support students with academic difficulties or personal challenges that affect their learning.

Professional Development:

Stay current with developments in the academic field and educational best practices.

Engage in ongoing professional development, such as attending workshops, conferences, and seminars.

Contribute to the academic community through collaborations, networking, and sharing knowledge.

Other Duties:

May be involved in extracurricular activities, such as student clubs, conferences, or departmental outreach.

Participate in university events and assist in promoting the institution.

Required Qualifications:

Education:
-
Typically requires a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in the relevant field.

Teaching experience at the university level is often preferred but not always required.
