Lecturer in Biochemistry
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer in Biochemistry to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in the field of biochemistry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biochemistry, including lectures, labs, and tutorials.
Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and materials.
Assess student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback.
1. Research:
Conduct original research in biochemistry, resulting in publications in reputable scientific journals.
Secure external funding to support research activities.
Mentor and supervise undergraduate and graduate students in research projects.
1. Service:
Participate in departmental, faculty, and university service, including committee work and administrative tasks.
Engage in outreach and community service activities to promote biochemistry and scientific literacy.
Requirements:
1. Education:
Ph.D. in Biochemistry or related field.
1. Experience:
Minimum 2 years of postdoctoral research experience.
Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
1. Skills:
Excellent teaching, research, and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of biochemistry, molecular biology, and related fields.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Certifications:
Certification in teaching or research is an asset.
