Lecturer in Civil Engineering
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Civil Engineering to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to the growth and development of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in civil engineering, including lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions.
2. Research: Conduct research in civil engineering, including publishing papers, securing funding, and collaborating with colleagues and external partners.
3. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and revision of undergraduate and graduate curricula in civil engineering.
4. Student Supervision: Supervise undergraduate and graduate students, including advising on research projects and providing guidance on academic and professional development.
5. Service: Contribute to the growth and development of the department, including serving on committees, advising students, and participating in departmental events.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in teaching and research, preferably in a university setting.
3. Skills: Strong teaching, research, and communication skills.
4. Knowledge: Expertise in one or more areas of civil engineering, including structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, or geotechnical engineering.
Desired Qualifications:
1. Advanced Research Experience: Experience conducting research and publishing papers in top-tier journals.
