Lecturer in Computing
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Computing to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and administration in the Department of Computing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching: Deliver high-quality teaching to undergraduate and graduate students in areas such as computer programming, algorithms, data structures, computer networks, and software engineering.
2. Research: Conduct research in specialized areas of Computing, such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or Human-Computer Interaction.
3. Student Supervision: Supervise students’ projects, dissertations, and theses.
4. Curriculum Development: Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
5. Examination and Assessment: Set and mark examinations, assignments, and projects.
6. Administration: Participate in departmental and faculty administrative tasks.
Requirements:
1. Ph.D. in Computing: A doctoral degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. Teaching Experience: Proven teaching experience in a university or college setting.
3. Research Expertise: Established research expertise in a specialized area of Computing.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
