Lecturer in Foreign Language
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer in Foreign Language to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in a specific foreign language, such as Spanish, French, German, Chinese, or Arabic. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction, conduct research, and contribute to the academic and professional growth of our institution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in a specific foreign language, including language acquisition, literature, culture, and linguistics.
2. Research and Scholarship: Conduct research and scholarly activities in foreign language pedagogy, linguistics, literature, or culture, publishing research papers in reputable academic journals and presenting at conferences.
3. Service: Participate in departmental, college, and university service, including committee work, community outreach, and professional development.
4. Mentoring and Advising: Advise and mentor students, providing guidance on academic and career matters.
5. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and refinement of curricula, course materials, and assessment tools.
Requirements
1. Ph.D. in Foreign Language: Earned Ph.D. in foreign language or a related field, such as linguistics, literature, or cultural studies.
2. Teaching Experience: Proven teaching experience, either as a teaching assistant or instructor.
3. Language Proficiency: Native or near-native proficiency in the target language.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

1. Postdoctoral Experience: Postdoctoral research experience, demonstrating a strong commitment to research and academic excellence.
