Job Title: Lecturer in Urdu
Reports to: Department Head
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer in Urdu to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Urdu language and literature courses, developing curriculum, and contributing to the academic excellence of our institution.
Responsibilities:
1. Teach Urdu language and literature courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
2. Develop and teach online courses, as needed.
3. Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
4. Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in top-tier journals.
5. Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and service activities.
6. Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate new knowledge into teaching and research.
7. Provide service to the university and the broader community.
Requirements:
1. Master’s degree in Urdu or a related field.
2. Strong teaching experience, preferably at the university level.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
5. Strong commitment to teaching and learning.
6. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. in Urdu or a related field.
2. Experience teaching Urdu language and literature courses.
3. Established research program with a strong publication record.
4. Experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
5. Experience serving on departmental and university-wide committees.
6. Familiarity with technology-enhanced instruction, including learning management systems and online learning platforms.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $90,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include:

Urdu Language and Literature:
