Job Summary:

We are seeking highly qualified candidates for faculty positions in the Mathematical Sciences department. The successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, conduct research, and contribute to the department’s academic and research missions.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

– Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematical sciences, including algebra, analysis, geometry, and applied mathematics.
– Develop and teach new courses in emerging areas of mathematical sciences.
– Supervise undergraduate and graduate students in research projects and theses.

Research:

– Conduct original research in mathematical sciences, including publishing papers in top-tier journals and presenting research at conferences.
– Develop and implement research projects, including designing methodologies, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting results.
– Collaborate with other researchers and faculty members to advance the field.

Service:

– Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities, including committee work, student advising, and recruitment.
– Engage in outreach and community-building activities to promote the department and the university.
– Provide service to the profession, including reviewing papers, serving on editorial boards, and participating in professional organizations.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

– Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences or a related field.
– Strong research background and potential for excellence in research.
– Excellent teaching and communication skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to think critically and creatively.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge:

– Strong knowledge of mathematical sciences, including algebra, analysis, geometry, and applied mathematics.

– Familiarity with mathematical software and programming languages.
