Mathematics Teacher
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Mathematics Teacher to teach mathematics within the IB Primary Years Programme. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering conceptual and inquiry-based math instruction aligned with the PYP framework and will be enthusiastic about helping students build strong foundational numeracy and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, concept-driven math lessons in alignment with the PYP scope and sequence.

Use inquiry-based teaching strategies that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world application of mathematical concepts.

Incorporate a range of manipulatives, tools, and digital resources to enhance understanding.

Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction.

Differentiate instruction to support varied learning styles and levels within the classroom.

Collaborate with classroom and specialist teachers to support transdisciplinary learning where appropriate.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the IB learner profile and attitudes.

Maintain thorough records of student learning and contribute to reporting processes and parent conferences.

Participate actively in school life, including professional development, staff meetings, and PYP planning sessions.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject area (Mathematics preferred)

Teaching certification/license (internationally recognized)

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a PYP or international school environment

Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and constructivist math instruction

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Commitment to ongoing professional growth
Preferred Qualifications:

IB PYP training or certification

Familiarity with concept-based mathematics instruction
