Principal
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal to lead our school community. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, guidance, and support to students, teachers, and staff, and will be responsible for promoting academic excellence, student achievement, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and vision for the school, aligning with the district’s mission and goals.
2. Academic Excellence: Promote academic excellence, student achievement, and teacher effectiveness, ensuring that all students have access to high-quality education.
3. Teacher Supervision: Supervise and evaluate teachers, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
4. Student Discipline: Develop and implement student discipline policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
5. Community Engagement: Foster partnerships and collaborations with parents, community members, and local organizations to promote student learning and achievement.
6. Budget Management: Manage the school budget, allocating resources effectively to support academic programs and student services.
7. Communication: Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and staff, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
Requirements
1. Master’s Degree: Earned master’s degree in educational leadership, administration, or a related field.
2. Administrative Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of administrative experience, including experience as a principal, assistant principal, or department chair.
3. Teaching Experience: Proven teaching experience, with a strong understanding of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques.
4. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills, including strategic planning, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
Desired Qualifications
1. Doctoral Degree: Earned doctoral degree in educational leadership, administration, or a related field.
2. Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as the National Board Certification for Educational Leaders or the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) certification.
3. Experience with Diverse Populations: Experience working with diverse populations, including students from underrepresented groups, English language learners, and students with disabilities.
4. Knowledge of Educational Technology: Familiarity with educational technology, including learning management systems, online resources, and digital tools.
