Professor
Job Summary:
The Professor will teach, conduct research, and provide service to the academic community. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent teaching and communication skills, and a commitment to research and academic service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the department, including lectures, seminars, and labs.
1. Research:
Conduct original research in the field, including publishing papers, presenting at conferences, and securing grants.
1. Service:
Provide service to the academic community, including committee work, peer review, and community outreach.
1. Mentorship:
Mentor students, including advising, career guidance, and research supervision.
1. Curriculum Development:
Develop and update curriculum, including course syllabi, assessments, and instructional materials.
Requirements:
1. Education:
Ph.D. or terminal degree in the relevant field.
1. Experience:
At least 6-8 years of experience teaching and conducting research at the university level.
1. Skills:
Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong research and publication record.
Ability to work effectively with diverse students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Postdoctoral Training:
Postdoctoral training or fellowship experience.
1. Certification:
Certification in the relevant field, such as the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) designation.
1. Experience with Grants:
Experience securing and managing grants, including writing proposals and reporting on outcomes.
