Job Summary:
The Registrar is responsible for overseeing the registration and records processes for students, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of student records. The Registrar provides exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, while ensuring compliance with institutional policies, federal and state regulations, and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Registration and Records Management: Oversee the registration process, including course scheduling, enrollment, and withdrawal. Manage student records, including transcripts, diplomas, and grade reports.
2. Compliance and Policy: Ensure compliance with institutional policies, federal and state regulations, and accreditation standards. Interpret and implement policies and procedures related to registration and records.
3. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
4. Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of registration and records staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
5. Communication: Communicate with students, faculty, and staff through various channels, including email, phone, and in-person.
6. Data Analysis: Analyze data related to registration and records, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
7. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve registration and records processes, implementing changes as needed.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Experience in Registrar’s Office: Experience working in a registrar’s office or a related field, with a strong understanding of registration and records processes.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in student information systems, such as Banner or PeopleSoft, and Microsoft Office.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
5. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
