Job Summary:

The Registrar is a senior administrative officer responsible for overseeing the academic records, registration, and enrollment processes of an educational institution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Academic Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date academic records, including student transcripts, grades, and diplomas.
2. Registration and Enrollment: Oversee the registration and enrollment processes, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
3. Scheduling: Coordinate the development of academic schedules, including course offerings, room assignments, and exam schedules.
4. Degree Verification: Verify student degrees and certifications, ensuring compliance with institutional and external requirements.
5. Compliance: Ensure compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and external regulations, such as FERPA.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Master’s Degree: Earned master’s degree in a relevant field, such as education, administration, or a related field.
2. Experience: 3+ years of experience in a registrar’s office or a related administrative role.
3. Technical Skills: Proficient in student information systems, such as Banner, Colleague, or PeopleSoft.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
5. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
