Senior Professor
Job Summary
We are seeking an exceptional scholar and educator to fill the role of Senior Professor. The successful candidate will have a distinguished record of academic achievement, teaching excellence, and service to the academic community.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Curriculum Development: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of expertise, develop and refine curriculum, and mentor students.
2. Research and Scholarship: Conduct original research, publish scholarly articles and books, and secure external funding to support research endeavors.
3. Service and Leadership: Provide leadership and service to the department, college, and university, including committee work, administrative tasks, and community engagement.
4. Mentorship and Advising: Mentor junior faculty, advise students, and provide guidance on academic and professional matters.
5. Assessment and Accreditation: Participate in program assessment and accreditation processes, ensuring academic programs meet or exceed standards.
Requirements
1. Terminal Degree: Earned terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in the relevant field.
2. Academic Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience as a faculty member, with a proven track record of teaching, research, and service.
3. Research and Publication: Established research agenda, with a strong record of publication in top-tier journals and presses.
4. Teaching Excellence: Demonstrated teaching excellence, with a strong commitment to student learning and success.
5. Leadership and Service: Proven leadership and service experience, with a strong commitment to the academic community.

1. Administrative Experience: Experience in academic administration, such as department chair or program director.
