Student Counsellor

Job Summary:

Provide guidance, support, and counseling services to students, promoting academic success, personal growth, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Counselling Services:

1. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.

2. Address academic, personal, social, and emotional concerns.

3. Develop and implement student support plans.

Academic Guidance:

1. Provide academic advising and course selection guidance.

2. Help students set academic goals and develop study plans.

3. Monitor student progress and provide interventions.

Personal Support:

1. Support students with mental health concerns (e.g., anxiety, depression).

2. Address bullying, harassment, and conflict resolution.

3. Foster self-awareness, self-esteem, and resilience.

Collaboration:

1. Work with teachers, parents, and administrators.

2. Participate in student support teams.

3. Refer students to external resources (e.g., mental health services).

Requirements:

1. Master’s degree in counselling, Psychology, or related field.

2. Counselling certification (e.g., LPC, NCC).

3. Experience working with students, parents, and teachers.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
