Job Summary:
The Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and well-organized lessons to students. The individual in this role will foster an environment conducive to learning, encouraging students to develop their academic skills, critical thinking, and social abilities. The Teacher will collaborate with staff members, assess students’ progress, and contribute to the overall mission of the institution to provide exceptional education to every learner.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lesson Planning & Delivery:
    • Develop, prepare, and implement lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards.
    • Create engaging lessons that challenge students and cater to diverse learning styles.
    • Deliver lessons in a manner that fosters active student participation, collaboration, and a deep understanding of the subject matter.
    • Use technology and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience.
  2. Student Engagement & Support:
    • Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment, fostering respect and inclusivity.
    • Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in students.
    • Provide academic support to students as needed, helping them to reach their full potential.
    • Offer individual or small group support for students who need additional help or enrichment.
    • Actively promote positive behavior management, encouraging students to follow classroom rules and demonstrate good conduct.
  3. Assessment & Feedback:
    • Design and implement assessments to evaluate student progress, including quizzes, tests, projects, and presentations.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their work and performance.
    • Maintain accurate records of students’ progress, grades, and attendance.
    • Use data from assessments to identify areas for improvement and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  4. Classroom Management:
    • Establish clear rules and routines in the classroom to ensure a structured learning environment.
    • Monitor student behavior and intervene when necessary, addressing any concerns appropriately.
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students, both in and out of the classroom.
  5. Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with colleagues and administrators to develop and improve the curriculum.
    • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students’ progress and behavior.
    • Collaborate with support staff and other teachers to address the diverse needs of students.
  6. Professional Development:
    • Stay updated on the latest educational trends, teaching methodologies, and best practices.
    • Attend workshops, seminars, and courses to improve teaching skills and knowledge.
    • Seek feedback and engage in self-reflection to continuously improve instructional practices.
  7. Administrative Responsibilities:
    • Submit required reports, documentation, and grading in a timely manner.
    • Assist in the development and updating of curriculum materials.
    • Supervise students during non-classroom activities, such as lunch or recess.
    • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
  8. School Community Involvement:
    • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and community outreach programs.
    • Act as a role model for students, promoting positive values such as respect, responsibility, and empathy.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
    • Teaching certification (as required by the region/country).
  • Experience:
    • Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
    • Experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
    • Ability to adapt to various learning needs and styles.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
