We are seeking a creative and passionate English Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. They should be skilled in teaching both language and literature and capable of delivering engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards while supporting diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning:

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in literature, language, and writing, aligned with the school’s curriculum framework (e.g., IB, IGCSE, national).

• Develop students’ skills in reading comprehension, literary analysis, creative writing, grammar, and oral communication.

• Use a variety of instructional strategies to promote active learning and student engagement.

• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.

• Encourage critical thinking and meaningful discussions around texts and contemporary issues.

Assessment & Feedback:

• Design and administer formative and summative assessments.

• Provide timely and constructive feedback to guide student progress.

• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and contribute to formal reporting.

Classroom Culture & Collaboration:

• Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary units, curriculum planning, and school events.

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student learning and well-being.

Professional Responsibilities:

• Participate in professional development and staff meetings.

• Contribute to co-curricular activities such as writing clubs, drama, debate, or school publications.

• Stay updated with educational trends in English language and literature instruction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, English Literature, Education, or a related field

• Valid teaching certification/license

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching English (preferably at the middle or high school level)

• Strong command of English and an understanding of both classical and contemporary literature

• Effective classroom management and communication skills

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in English, Education, or related field

• Experience with international curricula (e.g., IB MYP/DP, IGCSE, A-Level, or AP English)

• Experience working in multicultural or international school environments

• Proficiency in using digital tools for blended or remote learning
