Teaching Staff

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Staff member to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, developing curriculum, assessing student learning, and contributing to the academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching

1. Teach assigned courses, including lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions.
2. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating various teaching methods and technologies.
3. Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and academic excellence.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Curriculum Development

1. Develop and revise curriculum, ensuring alignment with institutional and accreditation standards.
2. Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement new courses and programs.
3. Stay current with developments in the field, incorporating relevant research and best practices into curriculum.

Assessment and Evaluation

1. Assess student learning, using various methods, including exams, quizzes, projects, and class participation.
2. Evaluate course effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.
3. Contribute to program assessment and accreditation processes.

Academic Community

1. Participate in departmental and institutional meetings, committees, and events.
2. Collaborate with colleagues on research, curriculum development, and other academic initiatives.
3. Mentor and advise students, providing guidance on academic and career goals.

Requirements:

Qualifications

1. Master’s or Doctoral degree in relevant field.
2. Teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
3. Strong knowledge of subject matter and pedagogy.

Experience

1. At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
2. Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation.
3. Experience working with diverse student populations.

Skills

1. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills.
2. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
3. Strong organizational and time management skills.
4. Proficiency in relevant technologies, including learning management systems.

Desirable Qualifications:

Qualifications

1. Doctoral degree in relevant field.
2. Experience with online or blended teaching.
3. Experience with program assessment and accreditation.

Experience

1. Experience working in a multicultural or international setting.
2. Experience with community engagement and outreach.
3. Experience with grant writing and fundraising.

Skills

1. Experience with educational technologies, including learning analytics.
2. Experience with course design and development.
3. Experience with student advising and mentoring.
