Vice Chancellor
Job Summary:
The Vice Chancellor is the chief academic and administrative officer of the university, responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision to achieve the institution’s goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the university’s academic and administrative goals.
2. Academic Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the academic community, promoting academic excellence and innovation.
3. Administrative Oversight: Oversee the university’s administrative operations, including finance, human resources, and infrastructure.
4. External Relations: Represent the university externally, building relationships with stakeholders, including government, industry, and community partners.
5. Fundraising and Development: Identify and secure funding opportunities to support the university’s strategic initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. or Terminal Degree: Earned doctorate or terminal degree in a relevant field.
2. Academic and Administrative Experience: Proven track record of academic and administrative leadership experience in higher education.
3. Strategic Leadership: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, and to lead and manage complex organizations.
4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
5. Fundraising and Development: Experience with fundraising and development, with ability to identify and secure funding opportunities.
