Vice Principal

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled educational leader to join our team as Vice Principal. The successful candidate will assist the Principal in providing strategic leadership and management to the school, ensuring that all students receive a high-quality education and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

– Assist the Principal in providing strategic leadership and management to the school
– Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s vision, mission, and strategic plan
– Provide leadership and guidance to senior and middle leaders, ensuring that all staff are motivated and focused on achieving the school’s goals

Teaching and Learning:

– Oversee the development and implementation of the school’s curriculum, ensuring that it is broad, balanced, and meets the needs of all students
– Work with senior and middle leaders to ensure that teaching and learning are of the highest quality, and that all students make excellent progress
– Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes, including those related to attendance, behavior, and academic achievement

Pastoral Care:

– Oversee the pastoral care of students, ensuring that all students feel safe, supported, and valued
– Work with senior and middle leaders to ensure that the school’s pastoral care systems are effective and meet the needs of all students
– Develop and implement strategies to promote student well-being, including those related to mental health, bullying, and safeguarding

Operations and Resources:

– Oversee the management of the school’s resources, including finance, human resources, and facilities
– Work with senior and middle leaders to ensure that the school’s resources are used efficiently and effectively
– Develop and implement strategies to improve the school’s operational systems, including those related to communication, data management, and risk management

Requirements:

Qualifications:

– Master’s degree in Education or a related field
– Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a senior leadership role in a school or educational institution
– Proven track record of success in improving student outcomes and leading school improvement initiatives

Skills:

– Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills
– Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with senior and middle leaders, teachers, and support staff
– Experience with budget management and financial planning

Knowledge:

– Strong knowledge of educational theory, policy, and practice
– Understanding of school improvement strategies and initiatives
– Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing education

Desired Qualifications:

– Experience with school accreditation and quality assurance processes
– Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning platforms
– Certification in educational leadership or a related field
