Vice Principal
Job Summary:
The Vice Principal is a senior leadership role responsible for supporting the Principal in the overall management and administration of the school. The Vice Principal will assist in developing and implementing school policies, managing staff, and ensuring the academic and personal well-being of students.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management
1. Support the Principal in the overall leadership and management of the school.
2. Assist in developing and implementing school policies and procedures.
3. Lead and manage a team of senior staff, including department heads and year level coordinators.
Academic Management
1. Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum and academic programs.
2. Monitor and evaluate student academic performance and progress.
3. Work with teachers to develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
Staff Management
1. Assist in the recruitment, selection, and induction of new staff.
2. Provide support and guidance to staff, including mentoring and coaching.
3. Manage staff performance, including conducting performance reviews and addressing performance issues.
Student Well-being
1. Oversee the development and implementation of student well-being programs and initiatives.
2. Work with teachers and support staff to identify and support students with special needs or at risk.
3. Manage student behavior and discipline, including developing and implementing behavior management policies.
Communication and Community Engagement
1. Develop and maintain effective communication with parents, students, and the broader community.
2. Represent the school at community events and functions.
3. Work with the Principal to develop and implement marketing and promotion strategies.
Requirements:
1. Master’s Degree in Education: A Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
2. Teaching Experience: Significant teaching experience, including experience in a leadership or management role.
3. Leadership and Management Experience: Proven leadership and management experience, including experience in staff management and development.
4. Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Doctoral Degree in Education: A Doctoral degree in Education or a related field.
2. Specialized Certification: Specialized certification in educational leadership or a related field.
3. Experience in Curriculum Development: Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
4. Bilingual or Multilingual: Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
