Vice Principal

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary educational leader to serve as Vice Principal. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and support to the Principal, while also overseeing the development and implementation of academic programs, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Vision: Provide strategic leadership and support to the Principal, while also contributing to the development and implementation of the school’s vision and mission.
2. Academic Programs: Oversee the development and implementation of academic programs, including curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment and evaluation methods.
3. Teacher Supervision and Evaluation: Supervise and evaluate teachers, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to support teacher growth and improvement.
4. Student Discipline and Welfare: Oversee student discipline and welfare, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to student behavior, attendance, and well-being.
5. Communication and Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the broader community, while also communicating effectively with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
6. Operational Management: Oversee the operational management of the school, including facilities management, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Requirements

1. Master’s Degree in Education: Earned master’s degree in education or a related field, with a focus on educational leadership or administration.
2. Teaching Experience: Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, with a proven track record of success in the classroom.
3. Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and managing programs.
4. Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, parents, and the broader community.

Desired Qualifications

1. Doctoral Degree in Education: Earned doctoral degree in education or a related field, with a focus on educational leadership or administration.
2. Certification in Educational Leadership: Certification in educational leadership, such as the National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP) certification.
3. Experience with Curriculum Design and Implementation: Experience with curriculum design and implementation, including the development and implementation of standards-based curriculum.
4. Experience with Budgeting and Financial Management: Experience with budgeting and financial management, including the management of school budgets and resources.
