English Language Instructor
We are currently seeking a qualified and passionate English Language Instructor to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating effective English language instruction to learners of diverse backgrounds, ages, and proficiency levels. The instructor will play a vital role in fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their English language skills for academic, professional, and personal development. This position requires a combination of strong linguistic knowledge, intercultural communication skills, classroom management capabilities, and an enthusiasm for teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Instruction and Course Delivery:

Teach English as a Second or Foreign Language to students of various proficiency levels (Beginner to Advanced).

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with institutional objectives, course outcomes, and learner needs.

Deliver classes using a variety of instructional techniques and tools, including textbooks, multimedia resources, and technology-based platforms.

Ensure lessons are learner-centered and promote active participation, critical thinking, and communicative competence.
2. Curriculum & Material Development:

Adapt and supplement curriculum materials as needed to suit class size, learner backgrounds, and skill levels.

Create custom materials, assignments, and activities to enhance learning outcomes and engagement.

Participate in curriculum reviews and contribute to the development of new programs or course offerings.
3. Assessment and Student Progress:

Design and administer diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to evaluate student progress.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and feedback.

Provide regular and constructive feedback to students regarding their strengths, areas for improvement, and learning strategies.

Prepare progress reports and participate in academic advising when required.
4. Classroom Management:

Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive student behavior and engagement.

Manage classroom dynamics effectively and address any disciplinary or behavioral issues in accordance with institutional policies.

Support students with academic or personal challenges that may affect their language learning experience.
5. Professional Collaboration and Development:

Collaborate with colleagues in academic planning, program development, and special projects.

Attend staff meetings, orientation programs, and professional development workshops.

Stay current with new teaching methodologies, tools, and trends in English language instruction and applied linguistics.

Participate in peer observations, teaching evaluations, and quality assurance procedures.
6. Technology Integration:

Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS), online tools, and multimedia resources to support instruction and communication.

Engage students through blended or fully online learning models as required by the institution.
Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field.

An accredited TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate with a minimum of 120 hours of training (in-class preferred).

Minimum of 2 years of English language teaching experience in a formal or academic setting.

High level of English proficiency (CEFR level C2 or equivalent; native or near-native speaker).
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English Education, or related field.

Experience teaching in multicultural and multilingual environments.

Familiarity with international language proficiency frameworks (e.g., CEFR, IELTS, TOEFL).

Knowledge of current educational technology and e-learning platforms (Zoom, Moodle, Google Classroom, etc.).

Experience with assessment design and curriculum development.

Ability to teach specialized English courses (e.g., Business English, Academic Writing, Exam Preparation).
