Mathematics teacher PYP

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our Primary Years Programme (PYP). The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inquiry-based mathematics lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework, fostering a love of learning, critical thinking, and international-mindedness in young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver developmentally appropriate math lessons in line with the IB PYP curriculum framework.

• Integrate mathematical concepts across transdisciplinary units of inquiry.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports individual learning needs.

• Use a range of teaching strategies and differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learners.

• Assess student progress using varied assessment tools and provide regular feedback.

• Collaborate with grade-level and specialist teachers to plan interdisciplinary units.

• Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development.

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student learning and development.

• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

• Support the development of learner profiles, attitudes, and skills in students in alignment with the IB philosophy.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Mathematics specialization preferred).

• Valid teaching certification/license.

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience, ideally in an IB PYP school.

• Familiarity with or training in the IB PYP framework and inquiry-based learning.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Culturally responsive, collaborative, and committed to lifelong learning.

Preferred:

• IB PYP certification/workshop completion.

• Experience working in an international school setting.

• Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for teaching and assessment.
