Art Teacher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching art classes to students of various ages and skill levels, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and fostering a love of art in our students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teach Art Classes: Teach art classes to students of various ages and skill levels, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and other art forms.
2. Develop Lesson Plans: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners and align with state and national art education standards.
3. Assess Student Progress: Assess student progress and understanding of art concepts, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
4. Foster Creativity: Foster a love of art in our students, encouraging creativity, self-expression, and experimentation.
5. Classroom Management: Manage the art classroom, maintaining a safe, organized, and respectful learning environment.
6. Collaborate with Colleagues: Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into the broader curriculum and develop interdisciplinary projects.
7. Communicate with Parents: Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress, upcoming art events, and ways to support art education at home.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor’s degree in art education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
2. Teaching Certification: Valid teaching certification in Art Education or a related field.
3. Teaching Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an elementary or secondary school setting.
4. Artistic Expertise: Strong artistic skills and knowledge of various art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and printmaking.
5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
6. Patience and Flexibility: Ability to work with students of varying ages and skill levels, adapting to changing circumstances and needs.
