Associate Professor of Public Administration

Job Summary:

The Associate Professor of Public Administration will teach, conduct research, and engage in service activities in the field of public administration. The successful candidate will have a strong research agenda, a commitment to teaching excellence, and a desire to contribute to the growth and development of the department.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Teaching: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in public administration, including courses in areas such as public policy, public management, organizational theory, and research methods.
2. Research: Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in top-tier journals in the field of public administration.
3. Service: Engage in service activities, including advising students, serving on departmental and university committees, and participating in professional organizations.
4. Community Engagement: Participate in public discussions, consult with government officials or non-profit organizations, and provide expertise to address societal problems.
5. Curriculum Development: Develop and revise curriculum to ensure that courses and programs are relevant, innovative, and meet the needs of students and the field of public administration.

Requirements:

1. Education: Earned doctorate in Public Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
2. Teaching Experience: Significant teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
3. Research Experience: Strong research agenda and publication record in top-tier journals.
4. Service Experience: Experience with service activities, such as advising students, serving on committees, and participating in professional organizations.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Professional Experience: Professional experience in government, non-profit, or private sector organizations.
2. Certifications: Certifications, such as the Certified Public Manager (CPM) or the Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP).
3. Language Skills: Proficiency in a language other than English.
