Data Management Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data management systems, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security. The Data Management Specialist will work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements, develop data governance policies, and provide data management guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Management System Design: Design and implement data management systems, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
2. Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure data quality and integrity by developing and implementing data validation, cleansing, and normalization processes.
3. Data Security: Implement data security measures to protect sensitive data, including access controls, encryption, and backup procedures.
4. Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and develop reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements, provide data management guidance, and ensure data meets business needs.
7. Data Management Best Practices: Stay up to date with data management best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Data Management Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in data management, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in data management technologies, including relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), and data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica).
4. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop creative solutions.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
