Professional Development Coordinator
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Professional Development Coordinator to design, implement, and evaluate professional development programs for our institution. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty, staff, and administrators to identify professional development needs and provide high-quality training and support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Needs Assessment: Conduct needs assessments to identify professional development needs of faculty, staff, and administrators.
2. Program Development: Design, develop, and implement professional development programs, including workshops, training sessions, and conferences.
3. Program Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of professional development programs, using data and feedback to inform future program development.
4. Communication and Marketing: Promote professional development programs through various communication channels, including email, social media, and print materials.
5. Budget Management: Manage the professional development budget, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with institutional goals.
6. Collaboration and Partnerships: Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including other institutions, organizations, and vendors.
7. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of professional development programs, including attendance, evaluation data, and program outcomes.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree: Earned bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as education, training and development, or organizational development.
2. Experience in Professional Development: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in professional development, training, or adult education.
3. Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
4. Organizational and Planning Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
1. Master’s Degree: Earned master’s degree in a relevant field, such as education, training and development, or organizational development.
2. Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or the Certified Trainer (CT).
3. Experience with Adult Learning Theory: Familiarity with adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
4. Experience with Program Evaluation: Experience with program evaluation and assessment, including data analysis and reporting.
